Hire Tim
Hi, I am Tim Baz, a Design Engineer based in the San Francisco Bay Area.

My simple ask: hire Tim.
I am looking for Design Engineer and Frontend Engineer opportunities where I can help a team design, build, and ship polished product interfaces.
My strongest work is at the intersection of product design and frontend engineering. I care about how a product feels, how fast it loads, how clearly it explains itself, and whether people can actually use it without friction.
If your team needs someone who can work across design details, React components, responsive layouts, SEO, content, and production UI, I would like to talk.
What I Build
I build high-quality web and mobile apps with modern tools:
- Next.js
- React
- TypeScript
- Tailwind CSS
- shadcn/ui
- Supabase
- Kotlin
- Jetpack Compose
I usually fit best on teams that need more than a pure implementer. I like turning unclear product ideas into screens, flows, components, and working software.
Recent Work
In 2026, I completed my first paid client project with Next.js, React, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, and Supabase: Choijin Temple Restaurant.
The site includes restaurant locations, menu browsing, online table booking, and customer login flows. The goal was simple: help guests explore the restaurant and take action easily.

I also built Ayalal Expo 2026, a client website for an outdoor and camping exhibition. I designed the first version in Figma, built the site with Next.js and Tailwind CSS, and created a presentation PDF for the event.

Right now, I am building Menu.ceo, my first SaaS product for restaurants. It helps restaurants create online menus for web, mobile, short links, and printable formats from one dashboard.

Why I Might Be Useful To Your Team
A lot of portfolios show nice screenshots. I try to show proof that I can keep building after the screenshot.
I have built:
- A full-stack blog app with Next.js, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, and Supabase that earned 460+ GitHub stars.
- A Kotlin Android portfolio app with 50+ GitHub stars.
- Multiple versions of my own portfolio site, improving the design, content, SEO, and performance each time.
- Client websites with booking, login, responsive layouts, image-heavy pages, and production deployment.
- AI-readable portfolio routes like
llms.txtand markdown pages so my work is easier for search engines and AI tools to understand.

My background is not only software. I also worked in Tesla production, where I learned process discipline, quality standards, and reliability in a fast-moving environment. Before that, I worked in product marketing at Unitel Group in Mongolia, where I supported the BlackBerry service launch and built product landing pages and marketing materials.
That mix helps me think about product from more than one angle: design, engineering, marketing, operations, and the person using the product.
What People Have Said
Some of the best proof I have comes from people publicly reacting to my work and personal brand.
"Someone hire Tim." - shadcn
"Where are u based I need you" - Marc Lou
"someone should hire tim fr" - Alfon
"Whoever hires Tim is getting someone who thinks strategically!" - Eon Weave Labs
My portfolio was also featured by WeAreDevelopers, and Danny Thompson reviewed it on YouTube. Those moments matter to me because they came from putting real work online and letting people judge it.
What I Am Looking For
I am open to Design Engineer, Frontend Engineer, Product Engineer, and web/mobile product roles.
The best fit is a team that needs someone who can:
- Build with React, Next.js, TypeScript, and Tailwind CSS.
- Turn product ideas into clean, responsive interfaces.
- Care about details like spacing, typography, motion, loading states, and mobile layouts.
- Ship client-facing pages, dashboards, booking flows, auth flows, and content-heavy experiences.
- Communicate clearly and keep improving the product after launch.
I am based in the San Francisco Bay Area and authorized to work in the United States.
