My dad wrote his memories by hand. I turned those notes into an online book, Миний нутгийн бараа, which you can now read at mnutag.com.
I wanted to give his stories a home online, where they would be easy to read, listen to, and share. The project grew into four versions: text, audio, PDF, and YouTube videos.

From my dad’s handwritten notes to four ways to enjoy his stories.
Building the online book
I used Codex to help build the website with Next.js, Tailwind CSS, and shadcn/ui. Next.js provided the foundation, Tailwind CSS handled the styling, and shadcn/ui gave me the interface components to build on.
The focus was the reading experience: giving the stories space and making it easy to move between the book’s chapters. Putting the book online also means I can share it with a single link.
Text, audio, PDF, and YouTube
I used ElevenLabs for the audio narration. I also produced YouTube videos with scene photos to accompany the stories, adding a visual side to the listening experience.
Each format gives people a different way to spend time with the book:
- Text: Read the book online and browse its chapters.
- Audio: Listen to the audiobook.
- PDF: Download the book to keep a copy and read offline.
- YouTube: Watch the videos with scene photos.

This is a personal project for me. The tools helped me bring it together, and my dad’s words gave me a reason to build it. I’m happy his handwritten memories now have a place where more people can find them.
